I know you’ve heard that most of the answer is “why not” but I’m telling you, you’ve got to travel because you are about to meet a very significant person in your life.

I understand that it’s scary to be in a place that you are not familiar with but are you really satisfied to live a life that everything seems to be a routine? Like every time your clock alarms to wake you up, you take a bath, eat breakfast, go to work, then go home, chat a little with friends and family, eat dinner, sleep then wake up again. So where is the fun? Where’s what we call “living the life to the fullest”?, when everything seems to be just the way it is.

Life can be dangerous enough to live but lets seek into something anything but ordinary. Life is too beautiful to go to waste. Don’t let the person in you, that is full of hesitations and is coward become the reason to get outlived by others. One of the things that scare me is that, I am going to die before I get the chance to live the life as I want to. We only get one chance to live (it’s a different case if you believe in reincarnation), so make the most out of it!

Back to the reason that I mentioned earlier why you ought to travel, I was taking about a significant person that you need to know more than anyone else, his interests and dislikes, his strengths and the things that he need to improve at and most importantly to discover what does he really wants in life, his goals and dreams that he wish to achieve. Now, I’m not talking about a knight in his shining armor, this doesn’t involve about having a romantic relationship (but if your lucky, it’s highly likely that you’ll meet the man of your dreams!). In my case I should use the word her instead of his because that significant person that I was talking about is no one else but myself.

Traveling is like a retreat, a time to suppress everything that gives you stress and just focus on things that deserve a bigger issue in your life, like your philosophies and rediscover how beautiful life is. Go and explore the world and get to know your self more!

One of my posts was featured on a blog site which is owned by SuperBianca also known as the television host, Bianca Gonzalez. I really admire her blog since it is very inspirational and also she features her travel adventures. The amazing thing is that, she never or rarely talk about her work. Last September was her 7th blog anniversary and she invited her readers to share a moment in their lives that forced them to grow up, and the life lesson learned because of it. I am very happy that she featured my story in  which she called, living a daily challenge. It's very heartwarming to know that people are inspired on what I have written.

"Hi Bianca,

I graduated college at 19, became a licensed professional at 20, and currently having my so-called superhero training in one of the hospitals in our country that cater the largest number of patients.

It was around 2 months ago when I was still an ordinary human creature. I sleep late, wake up lake, eat brunch, surf the net, movie marathons, then sleep late, wake up late again… it was a cycle of worry free and stressless lifestyle. A Bum Life! Things were so simple.

Everything changed when I started to save lives and joined this hospital training. I have to wake up before the sun shines and be very mindful on how I spend my 24 hours. When I step in the hospital, it was like there’s a transfiguration in my whole being (like how cars transform into robots in Transformers). At 20, I am forced to act like a real adult. In my career, there is no space for weaklings, no errors should be committed, I have to work efficiently and accurately, in short…close to perfection.

There were couple of times when I witness people fighting for their last breathes, there were also some instances when I need to comfort patients who were informed that there’s no cure for their illness and they just have to wait for their death. I’ve also seen some people crying their lungs out as doctors pronounce that their loved ones already have left them.

In my head, I would ask myself, What in the world is going on? Isn’t it, it was just few months ago when I was so carefree? And in a sudden, I’m standing on the real world, pretending to be adult, compressing chest to assist the heart on pumping blood, teaching parents how to take care of their sick children, inserting needles on veins for fluids, and during my free time I still have to read about the medical cases that I encounter and familiarize the medicines that I give. This whole situation is frenzy, It's emotionally, physically and intellectually challenging. But this is how I choose my life to be. Although I agree to you that at 20’s, we are confused on what we really want in life. I myself want to do a lot of things too, like pursuing photography, writing books, travel the world and study philosophy. I think, when you decide do something, you really have to make a commitment to stand by to that decision, no matter what it takes. I decided to become a superhero, and if I have to grow up fast to become a hero, then I will.

Life can teach us lessons in brutal or weird way. God does not throws things on us that he knows we can’t surpass. So whenever were on a plight, I believe we are still blessed. We should keep thinking positive because for sure, he is preparing us for something better and greater out there."

I have a lot of dreams and goals in life. But I think one of the greatest hindrance from achieving success is the lost of focus on the things that are labeled as necessary. There are some unnecessary things that I opt to do because I find it necessary to make my life more exciting and not to burn myself on building my name. These technically unnecessary yet necessary things that I'm mentioning include playing online games, get hooked on favorite television shows, the serious vice: Movie marathon and the like. I'll never say nor impose that we should get rid of these things, yet those must be controlled.

That problem with us dreamer is that we love to sleep and dream on the things we want to be yet we would loose our energy on making them part of our reality. Hence, it is a decision if we want to just get stuck up on our beds and continue dreaming or wake up, work hard and make them come true. Change in lifestyle is undeniably scary but to stay still on where you're at, not improving yourself is worse.

Wake up kids. We've got the dreamers disease. This whole damn world can fall apart. You'll be okay. Follow your heart. Fly high. What's real can't die.
Just don't be afraid to live - You get what you give, New Radicals.
Press on!

Oh, why, hello there!

We meet again! My sincerest apologies for my sudden and then eventually became a very long absence without prior and decent notice. It has been almost a decade, 9 years to be exact, since this blog has started.

I was away, juggling work and adulthood, and then, the so called - real world swallowed me whole. I was lost, instead of into the surreal reverie, but into the practicalities that have to be dealt with in real life. Until I forgot what are the things that I have always liked and wanted. I had so many things to do, so many tasks that should be accomplished, so many exams that I needed to pass, etcetera, etectera. I am not  complaining. I know things like those co-exist with us. I just feel like it is about time to take a breather and do the things that I have always wanted.

I have been through a lot of adventures which may unfold day by day.

To begin with, I met a lot of people, whom names I may not recall but I still could vividly remember how they look like and how they said the words that are incredibly tattooed in my mind. I put them into writing and labeled it as Strangers in Australia. I accompanied the blog entries with photos that I myself took (because I find and pretty and I just like it).

Also, I find myself liking poetry and prose more and more. I had few poems written even before when I was young, and until now, I am still a coy-hearted pencil pusher. A few of my works that I am happy to share are tagged as Prose. I paired it with my own photos as I feel like their existence are in parallel to each other, I must have beautiful photos to pair up with my poems. I must have delightful words written to pair up with my photos.

What I am very grateful with Australia is that it made my goals and dreams closer to reality. I have always wanted to see different places and capture remarkable photos. I have started collecting memories and put it into blog entries. To start with, I am featuring the city of Sydney and Melbourne.
Lost pages of my photographs and poetry and I am happy you finally found it.
Cheers for more years of blogging!
